Supervision for volunteers at UK’s leading charity supporting anyone affected by eating disorders

We work with Beat’s ‘Transitions Project’ which supports young people affected by eating disorders move through times of transition, when they are particularly vulnerable. We provide quarterly group supervision for volunteer ‘recovery’ buddies who facilitate different forms of virtual support: live chats, email and online recovery clubs.

External supervision provides a confidential space for issues to be shared, and a face to face opportunity for volunteers to get to know each other.  Supervision sessions combine development topics with collaborative learning activities to build confidence and competence, and ensure practice meets safeguarding and quality assurance requirements. Development needs analysis ensure priority issues are addressed as they emerge, and post session reports provide evidence for QA purposes.
